HUNTSVILLE – Weather permitting, there will be lane closures on Interstate 565 East and West, between mile markers 5.096 and 7.018, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 3-4, from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. to replace the wearing surface.
There will be at least one lane open to traffic in both directions during the Alabama Department of Transportation’s project to replace the aging wearing surface. A work zone speed limit of 50 mph will be strictly enforced.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this construction to improve Alabama’s roadways.
