HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) — Four people are charged with murder in the slaying of an Alabama man whose body was found in Tennessee over the weekend.

Madison County authorities say the four are accused of killing 36-year-old Marlo Casell Patton, whose body was discovered in a ditch in Lincoln County, Tenn.

Patton's family filed a missing persons report last week. Investigators haven't released a cause of death, but the medical examiner's office says it appears Patton died on Saturday.

Four men are jailed in the killing. The Madison County Sheriff's Department say they include 25-year-old Robert Eugene Kilpatrick Davis; 23-year-old Jamie Ladae Kelly; 21-year-old Savontae Terrell Shoulders; and 30-year-old Timothy Jabbar Smith.

Court records aren't yet available to show whether the men have lawyers.
