From staff reports
Expect a warm Thanksgiving today as temperatures in Limestone County are expected to reach the lower 70s.
Tonight will be cooler, however, with a low around 45 degrees.
According to data from The National Weather Service, the normal high for Nov. 22 is about 61 degrees, while the record of 79 degrees was set in 1940.
A normal low would be 40 degrees, while a record of 17 degrees was set in 1964.
A cold front will provide a 30 percent chance of showers before noon on Black Friday. The front will also bring in much colder temperatures with Friday night’s lows hitting the upper 20s.
Saturday’s high will only reach the mid-40s, while lows Saturday night will dip down to 25. Sunday will be warmer with highs in the mid-50s, but a 40 percent chance of showers and storms returns to the forecast Monday and Tuesday.
