A black man wearing a blue bandana over his face thrust a large, semiautomatic handgun at a teller at RBC Bank in Capshaw Friday afternoon and demanded money.
“He entered the bank about 3:20 p.m., pulled the blue bandana up over his face and walked up to a teller and said, ‘give me the money,’” said Limestone County Sheriff’s Chief Investigator Stanley McNatt.
There were only three employees in the bank and no customers when the man entered wearing blue jeans, a blue T-shirt, the ball cap and bandana, McNatt said.
“He brandished the gun, held it on all of the employees and the teller,” he said.
The suspect fled in a blue sport-utility vehicle, believed to be a Ford Expedition, heading west on Capshaw Road.
Anyone with information about the robber or the robbery is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at (256) 232-0111.
