The monthly Cruise In on the Square, where car enthusiasts view and discuss vintage cars in downtown Athens, falls on July 4 this year.
The event will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Owners of custom, antique and restored vehicles are invited to this free event to bring their vehicles and cruise the courthouse square.
It is sponsored by the Spirit of Athens, an organization to revitalize downtown, and 100.3 the River.
Several restaurants and businesses stay open to accommodate visitors.
