County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Monday:

• Karen Denise Blankenship, 37, of 23270 Elkton Road, Athens, driving under the influence, driving on the wrong side of the road and possession of a controlled substance

• Celso Castillo Jr., 18, of 603 Longhorn Pass, Apt. 3-E, Hartselle, DUI, parking on the roadway and no driver’s license

• Crystal Lee McCart, 22, of 20641 Myers Road, Athens, seven counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument

• Karen Lee Short, 44, of 402 Hoffman St., Athens, failure to pay child support

• Daryl Wesley Dubois, 34, of 23141 Slate Road, Athens, violated probation on third-degree domestic violence (assault)

• Ashton Moriah Reynolds, 21, of 27141 Will Braden Circle, Athens, chemical endangerment of a child; released from the Limestone County Jail after posting a $20,000 bond; child tested positive for drugs at birth

• William Bradley Romine, 36, of 14726 Evans Road, Athens, DUI

• John Jefferson Sims, 44, of 26602 Nick Davis Road, Athens, third-degree domestic violence (assault)



County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Monday:

• Flashlight of undetermined value stolen Thursday or Friday from vehicle in the 23000 block of Corey Lane

• AT&T; brand Razor cellular telephone and wallet containing $200 cash, total value $403, stolen between June19 and Friday from 19000 block of Admiral Way

• Front door to home in 19000 block of Piney Chapel Road sustained $250 damage due to burglar; resident returned home to find ex-boyfriend and he remained there until deputies arrived; Luis Santos, 26, of 508 Frazier St., Athens, was charged with third-degree burglary

• Two tires and wheels valued at $230 stolen Friday or Saturday from vehicle in 30000 block of U.S. 72 East

• PlayStation video game and light set, total value $230, stolen Friday or Saturday in the 28000 block of Alabama 127

• $50 damage and key missing following burglary Saturday in 24000 block of Makani Lane

• Purse containing Verizon brand cellular telephone, credit and debit cards, total value $178, stolen during burglary Saturday or Sunday in the 24000 block of Shipley Hallow Road



City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Monday:

• Perez Abrosio, 31, of 409 Sixth Ave., Decatur, DUI

• Megan Ashley Brown, 20, of 29814 Alabama 127, Elkmont, second-degree possession of marijuana and public drunkenness

• Carlos Regazzoni Cain, 31, of 1303 Woodside Drive, Athens, domestic violence

• Carlos Manuel Gonzalez, 34, of 17155 Andrews St., Athens, DUI

• Carlos Gonzalez, 35, of 603 N. Clinton St., Athens, DUI

• Daphne Suzette Gray, 41, of 1003 Frazier St., Athens, violated probation on 11 counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument

• Christie Leann Hardin, 31, of 625 S. Mountain Drive, Trinity, DUI

• Brandon Adam Johnson, 18, of 803 Peachtree St., Athens, third-degree criminal trespass

• James Christopher Ray, 37, of 24419 Pleasant Hill Road, Ardmore, Tenn., possession of a controlled substance

• James Madison Rowe, 20, of 17244 Sledge Road, Athens, second-degree possession of marijuana



City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Monday:

• CD case, CDs and electronics valued at $500 stolen from vehicle Friday at 24800 Deer Ridge Lane

• Video camera, laptop computer and laptop briefcase valued at $2,150 stolen from vehicle Friday at 22161 Bragg St.

• Set of wheels valued at $500 stolen between April 13 and Friday from residence at 1214 N. Jefferson St.

• Three house windows, total value $100, damaged Friday due to criminal mischief



Wrecks

• Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 6:25 p.m. Saturday on Alabama 251, 10 miles north of Athens, according to state troopers. Driver Todd McAllister, 46, and his passenger, Danah McAllister, 40, both of Decatur, were injured and wearing seat belts. They were listed in good condition Monday at Huntsville Hospital. Driver Jackson Hall, 18, of Hazel Green was injured and wearing a seat belt. He was not listed as having been treated at either Athens-Limestone Hospital or Huntsville Hospital.

• Chris Harris, 41, of Madison was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 10:05 p.m. Sunday off Newby Road, two miles east of Athens. The driver was injured, was wearing a seat belt and was treated at Athens-Limestone Hospital and released.

• McKenzie Worley, 18, of Elkmont was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 2:34 a.m. Monday on Alabama 99, three miles north of Athens. She was injured and wearing a seat belt. She was listed in serious condition Monday afternoon in the surgical intensive care unit at Huntsville Hospital.



Hospital report

Athens-Limestone Hospital reported no admissions and one discharge Monday.
