An Elkton Road man has been arrested on an outstanding warrant for bribery.
John David Richardson Jr., 34, of 1707 Elkton Road was arrested Tuesday by Athens Police on a Dec. 15, 2008, Madison County arrest warrant charging him with bribery of a public official, said Athens Police Capt. Marty Bruce, who did not know what prompted the charge.
Madison County Assistant District Attorney Melissa Heron did not return a telephone call for information on what led to the charge.
Richardson was being held in the Limestone County Jail with bond set at $2,500.
