The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Thursday:
• Eduardo Hernandez Diaz, 30, of 1242 Beltline Road, Decatur, driving under the influence
• Shawn Nichols Ferguson, 35, of 9746 Lucas Ferry Road, Tanner, first-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia
• Christopher Jason Hovis, 29, of 27888 Harvest Road, Toney, third-degree theft
• Juan Jose Rubi, 24, of 219 Cherry Drive, Franklin, DUI and no driver’s license
• Justin Sidney Towe, 27, of 19000 Ingram Road, Tanner, third-degree criminal mischief
• Brian Lee Walker, 35, of 291 Highway 243 S Marianna, Ariz., third-degree assault
• Victoriano Chachalpa Xymello, 31, of 324 Cardinal Drive, Apt. 34, Decatur, public intoxication
County thefts
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Thursday:
• Samsung cellular telephone value at $80 stolen Tuesday or Wednesday from the 17000 block of Blackburn Road
• Smith & Wesson brand .357-caliber revolver and .40-caliber handgun, Sony brand PlayStation2 and Microsoft brand Xbox, total value $1,500, stolen Wednesday during a burglary in the 16000 block of Zehner Road
• Condenser from central air-conditioner valued at $1,000 stolen Wednesday from the 16000 block of Witty Mill Road
• Two piggy banks and a coffee can full of change, 22-inch gold necklace, Nintendo brand Wii system and Motorola brand cellular telephone, total value $1,560, stolen during a burglary Wednesday in the 29000 block of Wooley Springs Road
• Plastic bottle with change valued at $500 stolen during a burglary Wednesday in the 27000 block of U.S. 72 East
• Samsung brand LCD television, foot locker with DVDs and miscellaneous jewelry, total value $1,150, stolen during a burglary in the 22000 of Bill Walker Road between May 5 and Wednesday
City arrests
The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Thursday:
• Dana Alan Green, 38, of 2038 S. Lindsay Lane, Athens, failing to pay child support and violation of terms of probation on possession of a controlled substance
City thefts
The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Thursday:
• Chevrolet Caprice and Legacy brand 15-inch television, total value $3,300, stolen Tuesday or Wednesday from 609 Acorn Hill Circle
• Sanyo brand microwave oven and General Electric brand telephone stolen or damaged during criminal mischief Wednesday at 1101 U.S. 31 South, total value $180
• Purse valued at $30 stolen during burglary Wednesday at 209 Cloverleaf Drive, Apt. 6
Hospital report
Athens-Limestone Hospital reported one admission and one discharge Thursday.
