County arrests
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Monday:
• Kenneth James Bennington, 32, of 7744 Smith Camp Road, Adger, two counts of failing to pay child support
• Jason L. Campbell, 33, of 468 Greer Road, Lot 2, Rogersville, driving under the influence, attempting to elude, open container of alcohol, driving on the wrong side of the road, reckless driving and no driver’s license
• Leonard Crowe III, 37, of 287 Ready Section Road, Hazel Green, violated terms of probation on four counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument
• David Eugene Johnson, 42, of 27104 Elkton Road, Athens, violated probation on one count of third-degree burglary
• Willie James Johnson, 35, of 1806 Levert Circle, Athens, violated parole on one count of distribution of a controlled substance
• Gary Wayne Lambert, 23, of 4105 Arlington Road, Huntsville, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree possession of marijuana
• Troy Dale Lovell, 45, of 7259 Tommy Hill Road, Anderson, public intoxication and open container of alcohol
• Mark Waymond Wilson, 35, of 300 Glennwood Drive, Madison, possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and no seat belt
• Luis Revedo Acevedo, 31, of Sixth Street, Decatur, DUI, speeding and improper lane use
• Heath Dewayne Allison, 33, of 24445 Wooley Springs Road, Athens, second-degree possession of marijuana and pedestrian under the influence
• Scott Matthew Lee, 18, of 11501 Fairwood Ave., Northport, public intoxication
• Justin Neal Mayfield, 33, of 21521 Cario Hollow Road, Athens, DUI, two counts of leaving the scene of an accident and no insurance
• Judith Kristin Mitchell, 36, of 302 C. Cedar Lake Road, Decatur, DUI
• Bradley Joe Resch, 30, of 27234 Jarrod Boulevard, Harvest, three counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument
• Phillip Chad Sain, 33, of 2222 Cleveland Ave. S.W., Decatur, DUI, improper lane use and no tag

City thefts
The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Monday:
• Garmin brand global-positioning system valued at $400 stolen March 15 from a Toyota Avalon at 110 French Way
• Door and frame valued at $200 damaged Friday due to criminal mischief at 108 Woodridge Drive
• Weedeater brand 21-inch, push lawnmower valued at $170 stolen Saturday from 104 U.S. 31 North
• Bottle of Hugo brand cologne valued at $48 stolen Saturday from Walmart at 1011 U.S. 72 East
• Sixteen towels, a toilet lid cover, three rugs, two 12-packs of Dr. Pepper, two 12-packs of Mountain Dew, three king-size sheets and three queen-size sheets, total value $508, stolen Saturday from Kmart at 104 U.S. 31 North
• Undisclosed amount of cash stolen Saturday from 614 U.S. 31 S, Suite B
Wrecks
Four people were injured in a one-vehicle accident Sunday, six miles northwest of Athens on Witty Mill Road, a state trooper said. A 1997 GMC driven by Corey Horton, 21, of Elkmont wrecked his vehicle about 2:25 a.m., injuring himself and three passengers — Andrew Hammond, 16; Trevarius Horton, 21; and Natasha Mencia, 20, all of Athens. Neither the driver nor the passengers were wearing seat belts. All four were treated at Athens-Limestone Hospital and released, a hospital representative said.

Athens-Limestone Hospital reported no admissions and one discharge Monday.
