By Kelly Kazek

A local man is not playing when it comes to his PlayStation.

When his was missing and presumed stolen Wednesday, he called Athens Police Department and said, “he wanted his PlayStation back or he was going to kill somebody,” said Capt. Marty Bruce.

Anthony James White, 40, of 1700 Elkton Street, Lot 5, was arrested and charged with making a terrorist threat.

Bruce said when White called the Police Department demanding return of the gaming system, Officer Jonathan Caldwell went to White’s mobile home.

“As Officer Caldwell approached White’s residence, White came out yelling, ‘Get the (expletive) out of here,’” Bruce said. “White then told Officer Caldwell, ‘Just shoot me. I have a gun.’”

As Caldwell was walking closer, White reached behind his back and said, “I will shoot you.”

However, when Caldwell was able to restrain White, no gun was found.

White was transferred to Limestone County Jail.
