County arrests
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Wednesday:
• Michael Allen Callahan, 27, of 70 Collins Lane, Hartselle, failure to pay child support
• Wesley Brandon Crouch, 31, of 15840 Estate Drive, Athens, five counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument
• Michael Wayne Dykes, 26, of 21118 Myrtlewood Drive, Athens, second-degree possession of marijuana
• Melissa Ann Glover, 28, of 26671 Maple Road, Lester, first-degree theft, arrested Dec. 11 by Colbert County Sheriff’s Department on a Limestone County warrant in connection with theft of a stereo system
• Cornelius Jacobs, 34, of 16805 Alabama 251, Athens, probation violation (Community Notification Act violation)
• Charlotte Thompson Jones, 38, of 1458 Carver Heights, Apt. A, Florence, three counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument
• Jason Lewis Jordan, 19, of 10372 Long Meadow Road, Madison, driving under the influence, improper lane use and driving while suspended
• Ginger Kristin Lawrence, 28, of 1015 Highland Ave., Athens, possession of a controlled substance, arrested Tuesday by Athens Police drug investigator Greg Parnell and transferred to the Limestone County Jail, where she is being held in lieu of posting a $5,000 bond.
• Darrel Oneal Taylor, 18, of 18020 Sunflower Way, Athens, disorderly conduct
• John Fitzgerald Wallace, 41, of 366 Oakland Road, Madison, third-degree theft by deception
County thefts
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Wednesday:
• Two Stihl brand chainsaws valued at $820 stolen Tuesday from the 23000 block of Wells Street
• Newspaper rack valued at up to $1,200 stolen between Tuesday and Wednesday from The Store at Lockes Crossroads
City arrests
The Athens Police Department reported no arrests Wednesday.
City thefts
The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Wednesday:
• Living room furniture and tables, television stand, bedroom suite, queen mattress and box springs and a 50-inch plasma television set, total value $2,204, stolen between July 17 and Tuesday from 1001 U.S. 72 East, Suite 1
• Kenwood brand CD player valued at $1,200 stolen from automobile Tuesday at 209 Southwind Drive, Apt. 28
• $200 cash stolen Tuesday from 1007 W. Market St.
• Samsung brand cellular telephone valued at $70 stolen Feb. 3 from 1200 U.S. 72 West.
Hospital report
Athens-Limestone Hospital reported two admissions and no discharges Wednesday.
Admitted were Mae Malone and William Davis, both of Athens
