Taking the Pink Ribbon Pledge

Felicia Lambert, left, joins Carolyn Stair in signing the Pink Ribbon Pledge. Stair, a breast cancer survivor, is the honorary chairwoman of the Vera Bradley/Athens-Limestone Hospital Pink Elephant Lunch and Learn at Athens State University on Oct. 16. The luncheon sold out last month with more than 200 attendees expected. The Pink Ribbon Pledge is a promise to be responsible for your health and yearly breast cancer screenings. Those unable to attend the luncheon can join the fight against breast cancer by buying pink ribbons available for a $5 donation. For information, call Lambert at (256) 233-9290.
