County arrests
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Saturday, some of which may be the result of grand jury indictments:
• Johnny Dempsey, 45, of Huntsville, DUI.
• Alan Scott Hagood, 20, of 19734 Elkton Road, Athens, DUI.
• Sharla Renee LeCroy, 38, of Somerville, bond revocation.
• Jody Ray McElyea, 31, no address given, public intoxication.
• Ramona Gail Shepherd, 55, of Sheffield, eight counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument.
• Christopher Lee Smith, 30, of 22036 Compton Road, Athens, domestic violence and bond revocation.
• Christie Dawn Thomas, 33, of 21189 Piney Chapel Road, Athens, harassing communications.
• Justin Devane Vallencourt, 24, of 209 Lura Lane Meritt Island, Fla., possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia.
City arrests
The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Saturday, some of which may be the result of grand jury indictments:
• Saul Carras Quillo Maldoonado, 24, of 909 N. Jefferson St., Athens, public intoxication.
• Garth Allison Thompson, 44, of 25758 Clem Road, Elkmont, possession of a controlled substance.
• Christopher Lee Smith, 30, of 22036 Compton Road, Athens, domestic violence.
• heresa M. Vawters, 46, of 17028 Matthew Way, Athens, DUI.
• Vantella Malone, 30, of 709 Plato Jones St., Athens, third-degree criminal trespassing.
• Joanne Joy Burke, 29, of 19349 Lydia Corey Road, Athens, failure to pay fines for speeding and driving while license revoked.
Hospital report
Athens-Limestone Hospital reported no admissions and no discharges Saturday.
Admissions and discharges represent only those people who agreed to have their names published.
