The Athens State University Presidential Search Committee has narrowed the field of five semi-finalists to three finalists:
• Jeffery Foshee, Vice President, Administrative Operations, College of Southern Nevada.
• Robert Glenn, Vice President for Student Affairs and Vice Provost for Enrollment and Academic Services at Middle Tennessee State University.
• Hal Jenkins, Dean and Professor of Education at Mississippi University for Women.
Dr. Jerry Bartlett announced in December that he is retiring Aug. 1 after 18 years as president. Bartlett is the 35th president in the school’s history.
The three finalists will interview with Alabama College System Chancellor Bradley Byrne Byrne and Dr. Mary Jane Caylor, State Board of Education member, Wednesday.
Byrne is expected to make his recommendation May 22 to the State Board of Education for approval,
