County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Tuesday, some of which may be the result of grand jury indictments:

• Derrick Clay Brazier, 38, of 402 Tanglewood Drive, Athens, driving under the influence and speeding

• Stephany Deann Chapman, 19, of Anniston, domestic violence

• Steven Bradley Cobb, 29, of 19808 Alabama 127, child abuse.

• Jennifer Rene Freeman, 22, of 1410 N. Jefferson St., Athens, bond revocation

• William Pena Garcia, 20, of 510 W. Market St., Athens, DUI

• Kevin Bentley Harris, 19, of Huntsville, third-degree burglary

• Christopher Ryon Reese, 20, of 707 N. Madison St., Athens, probation violation

• Javis Raymond Witchard, 34, of 20045 Friendship Way, Athens, probation violation



City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Tuesday:

• A digital camera valued at $1,400 and $400 cash were stolen March 16 from the 1418 E. Elm St.



County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Tuesday:

• Twenty-two shrubs valued at $600 were stolen between March 12-17 from a home off Ripley Road.

• A wallet containing $575 in cash was stolen March 15 from the 30000 block of U.S. 72 East.

• A John Deere riding lawnmower valued at $1,750, a chainsaw valued at $125 and a toolbox with tools valued at $300 were stolen March 1-15 from the 11000 block of Burgreen Road.



Wrecks

An Athens woman injured in a wreck Monday night was listed in serious condition Tuesday afternoon in Huntsville Hospital’s surgical intensive care unit, a hospital spokeswoman said. Tammy Melette Russell, 35, was injured when her 2002 Chevrolet Impala wrecked about 5:35 p.m. on Holt-Springer Road, six miles west of Athens. She had to be extricated from her vehicle and flown to the hospital by medical helicopter. She was wearing a seat belt, a state trooper said.



Hospital report

Athens-Limestone Hospital reported no admissions and no discharges Tuesday.
