— Candidates for the District 6 seat on the Limestone County School Board have been invited to a political forum at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson Elementary School gymnasium.

The Johnson Parent-Teacher Organization is sponsoring the event.

The candidate for the seat — incumbent Anthony Hilliard and challenger Cory Elrod, both Republicans, will face each other in the primary runoff election April 24.

A preset group of questions have been provided to each candidate, PTO President Chris Zirbel said.

“We would like to invite the communities of Piney Chapel and Creekside Elementary,” Zirbel said. “There will also be a time for the public to address the candidates with their own questions and concerns.”

Dr. Wanda Hutchinson from Athens State University will be the moderator for the event.

The school is at 21360 Alabama 251 near Athens.
