Boys & Girls Club auctioning items signed by Saban and Ingram

—

Crimson Tide fans can win some great gifts signed by Alabama Coach Nick Saban and Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram, and help the Ardmore Boys & Girls Club in the bargain.

“A friend of the movement is a huge supporter of Alabama and he got the auction items for us,” said Stevia Hunes, marketing coordinator for the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama. “We are really blessed.”

Ardmore Boys & Girls Club members will auction two items autographed by Saban and Ingram and one item autographed only by Saban during its annual fundraiser dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 11, at First Baptist Church of Ardmore. The Alabama items will include:

• 2010 Alabama National Championship football signed by Saban and Ingram;

• A 16- by 24-inch framed 2010 National Championship banner signed by Saban and Ingram

• A safari straw hat with its 2010 Alabama National Championship band signed by Saban.

Even if you can’t make the dinner, you can bid on an item by calling (256) 534-6060 or (256) 232-5545 with your offer by 5 p.m. March 11. However, if you bid this way you won’t be notified if you have been outbid.

The dinner fundraiser is the Ardmore club’s biggest fundraiser of the year, said Robin Hargrove, unit director.

“This is our 11th year for the dinner,” Hargrove said. “There will be a cake auction, the three Alabama auction items and a Tennessee Titans package.”

Tickets are $20 and available at the door. The church is located at 26670 Fifth St.
