Athens State University’s Center for Lifelong Learning on Marion Street in Athens is introducing a new class for food service staff.
The ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certificate Course meets new state requirements. The course (plus examination) is designed to provide food service managers and employees with a detailed understanding of food safety.
Register by Oct. 1 to have study time before the course and save $10. The course will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 pm. on Tuesday, Oct. 9. The fee is $175.
Another course starting next week is the Athens State Community Chorus. The Chorus will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursdays at the Center for Lifelong Learning.
Classes will be held Oct. 4 – Dec. 13 with a performance on Friday, Dec. 14. New members pay $60, while returning members pay $30.
