With Mother’s Day in mind, Rogersville’s Ladies Night Out Garden Party will take place from 5-8 p.m. May 8 in downtown Rogersville.
Organizers said it will be a great event to bring mom and all your girlfriends for good eats, shopping and entertainment.
Ladies Night Out is the Chamber of Commerce and Rogersville Merchants annual event to raise money for the American Cancer Society and increase awareness of a disease that kills so many loved ones.
“We plan to have Lee Street from Wheeler to Bank streets blocked off and decorated as outdoor garden rooms with various local businesses set up in booths offering info on cancer, plants for sale, art classes and more,” said Janna Whitely of the Rogersville Area Chamber of Commerce. Other activities include a number of master gardeners on hand to answer questions and merchandise on sale.
The Chamber of Commerce will set up booth and sell tickets for reserved seating for the fashion show, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall, and chances to win the grand prize, which is a $200 gift certificate to any Alabama state park.
The fashion show will feature spring merchandise from local clothing, shoe and accessory shops.
“There will be festive music playing during the event,” Whitley said.
Night owl specials and a silent auction will also be offered at area shops.
All proceeds from the silent auction, ticket sales and donations will be donated to American Cancer Society.
“While this is a great event to just get out with your mom and besties, this is also for a great cause,” Whitley said.
Sandra Killen Burroughs of AMLA will serve as the mistress of ceremonies.
