Scott and Faye Colella of Athens announce the engagement of their daughter, Samantha Colella of Athens to William Worthey of Harvest, son of Don and Beth Worthey of Harvest.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Sam Colella of Oneida, N.Y., Edith Powers of Oswego, N.Y., the late Shirley Colella, and the late Herbert Powers Sr.
She is a 2006 graduate of East Limestone High School and a 2008 graduate of Wallace State Community College where she received an associate of applied science degree in occupational therapy. She is employed by Midsouth Home Health as a certified occupational therapy assistant.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Sarah Worthey of Capshaw, the late Clayton Worthey, and the late William and Vona Evans.
He is a 2006 graduate of East Limestone High School. He is employed by Christopher Plumbing and Electric as an equipment operator.
The wedding is planned for Nov. 7, 2009, at Lindsey Lane Baptist Church in Athens.
