Lendale and Sheilia Long of Rogersville announce the engagement of their daughter, April Renee Long of Athens to Clay Andrew McMeans, son of Butch and Sharon McMeans of Athens.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mahlon and Gladys Graham of Rogersville, Naydean Long of Anderson and the late Clifford Long. She is a 2006 graduate of Lauderdale County High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of North Alabama where she received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.
She is employed by the Limestone County Board of Education as a teacher and basketball/volleyball coach.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Dorothy Motter of Athens and Reba McMeans of Tanner and the late C.L. “Slim” Motter and Petty McMeans.
He is a 2007 graduate of Tanner High School.
He is employed by the city of Athens with the Utilities Department.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 2 at Rogersville Church of Christ.
