Mr. and Mrs. Steve Leverette of Athens announce the engagement of their daughter, Leigh Anne Leverette of Athens to John Michael Huggins of Athens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Huggins of Athens.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. David King of Athens, Juanita Leverette of Shelbyville, Tenn., and the late Howard Leverette.
She is a 2006 graduate of Athens Bible School and a 2009 graduate of Athens State University where she received a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science. She is employed by Wilmer & Lee.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Huggins of Athens, Hilda Riley of Cullman, and the late Judge Jack Riley.
He is a 1998 graduate of Athens High School and a 2003 graduate of Auburn University where he received a bachelor’s degree in biology. He is also a 2006 graduate of the University of Alabama Huntsville where he received a master’s degree in history. He is employed by SAIC as an integration analyst.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 25, 2009, at Huntsville Botanical Gardens.
