Mr. and Mrs. George Georgiou of Athens announce the engagement of their daughter Irene Louise Georgiou to Nicholas Colby Kennedy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Kennedy of Athens.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Eugene and JoAnne White of Athens and Costas and Irene Georgiou of Limassol, Cyprus.
She is a 2007 graduate of Athens High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of Alabama Huntsville where she received a bachelor’s degree in acquisition management.
She is employed by Coleman Dental Group.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Linda Richardson and Hollis and Marsha Kennedy, all of Athens and the late Wayne Richardson.
He is a 2007 graduate of Athens High School.
He is employed by Hollis Kennedy House Movers.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 22 at First Baptist Church in Athens.
