Larry and Jan Morris of Athens announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Michelle Morris, to George Taylor Evans, son of Arthur and Kaye Evans of Demopolis.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Catherine Britt of Athens and the late Reg Britt and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Morris.
She is a 2001 graduate of Athens High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Alabama-Huntsville where she received a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences. She received her doctorate from the Southern College of Optometry. She is employed at Athens Eye Clinic as a optometrist.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Franks and Alease Evans, all of Demopolis, and the late Richard Evans.
He is a 2001 graduate of Demopolis High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Alabama where he received his bachelor’s degree in marketing. He is employed by Procedural Orthopedics.
The wedding is planned for April 28 in Carillon Beach, Fla.
