CAPSHAW — Bruce Boydstun doesn’t worry about what his stats are following a night on the gridiron.
Most of the time it’s the day after before the East Limestone senior even looks at them. All he worries about is helping his team come out on the winning end, and he did so in a big way last Friday night.
Against J.O. Johnson in the Indians final home game of the season, Boydstun had nine carries for 101 yards. He also scored three touchdowns on runs of 32, five and two yards, in addition to a 32-yard interception for a fourth TD.
For his efforts, Boydstun has been selected Crunch Player of the Week.
“It was fun,” he said. “It was good to be able to go out with a win on senior night and a good last game at our home field.”
