WOW family day


Woodmen of the World annual family day is at 11 a.m. Monday at Woodmen Lodge, U.S. 72 West. Barbecue, trimmings and drinks will be furnished. Families bring salads and desserts.

Square dance lessons

Benefit car wash


A benefit car wash for 9-year-old Owens Elementary School student Colby Alred, who has been diagnosed with leukemia, will begin at 7 a.m. Friday at Advance Auto on U.S. 72 in Athens. Proceeds got to Alred and his family. May also donate in Colby Alred’s name at Redstone Federal Credit Union branches.



Caregivers night out

Respite night is from 6to9 Friday at Clements Baptist Church at 8690 U.S. 72 West in Athens. Make reservations by calling RSVP office at 256-232-7207 no later than noon Thursday.
