Charity flea market

The Lincoln Bridgeforth Park Committee is accepting applications for booth rentals for a Saturday Charity Flea Market. Booths are $35. Call (256) 874-0287.



TUESDAY

Cowart festival

The Cowart Elementary Winter Festival will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday. A chili and hot dog supper will be served from 5-6:30 p.m. Cost is $5 adults, $3 children. Includes free crafts for children, pictures with Santa and Christmas shopping. Booths are still available at $25. Call (256) 233-6627.

ABS Boston butts

The Trojan Athletic Association is selling barbecued Boston butts for SEC Championship Game day for $30 each. Place order by Nov. 30 at the Athens Bible School office or call (256) 457-1571. Pickup from 8 a.m.-noon Dec. 5 at the ABS campus.



MEETINGS

• AHS Class of ’56. Athens High School Class of 1956 will meet for lunch at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Sonny G’s. Take the Elkmont exit off Interstate 65 and turn left. Call Betty Richardson at (256) 232-5413.

• Legion party set. American Legion Post 49 and Ladies Auxiliary will not meet Thursday, Dec. 3, due to the Christmas parade. The Christmas party will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10. Finger foods will be served. There is a $10 spending cap on gifts for men or women.

    Coupon clipping
    Athens High School Future Business Leaders of America will host a coupon-clipping class from 6-8 tonight in the Athens High School cafeteria.  Tickets are $10 each in advance and may be purchased from any AHS FBLA member or by emailing Lori Jones or Brandi Foster at brandi.foster@acs-k12.org or lori.jones@acs-k12.org. Tickets are $15 at the door.
