o Gospel singing. Southern gospel music artist Squire Parsons, who recorded the song “Sweet Beulah Land,” will be at Seven Mile Post Road Church of Christ at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21. For information, call (256) 729-8455 or 216-5839.

o Community Thanksgiving. New Life Baptist Church at 2314 S. Hine St. will hold the King's Table Community Thanksgiving Meal from noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21. A full-course homemade meal will be served free. The public is invited to dine. Pastor Antoyne L. Green and members of the church will wait tables. o SONA Thanksgiving. Singles of North Alabama would like to invite single adults to a Thanksgiving dinner at Seven Mile Post Road Church of Christ on Nov. 21. Meal to start at 5 p.m. then fellowship at 7 p.m. with Squire Parsons singing. Dessert to follow.

o Bradley Walker. Local recording artist Bradley Walker will share music and testimony during the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday, Nov. 22 at West Highland Baptist Church. In 2007, Walker was honored as Vocalist of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association. The Wall Street Journal was quoted as saying, "A voice like this shows up maybe once in a generation if we are lucky." The public is invited.

o Thanksgiving worship. New Life Baptist Church at 2314 S. Hine St. will have Thanksgiving worship at 7 p.m. Nov. 23 with former Athens native Reginald Turner with Destiny and Legacy Ministries of Birmingham as guest preacher. Edna Turner will be guest soloist.

o Thanksgiving meal. The Mildred Harris Memorial Free Thanksgiving Ministry of Poplar Creek Missionary Baptist Church will be from11 a.m.-1p.m. Thursday, Nov. 26 at Antioch Cumberland Presbyterian Church of America at Browns Ferry and Hine streets. This community Thanksgiving meal to help those who need assistance is named in honor of the woman who spent much of her time on this ministry. Meals also will be delivered to many who are shut-ins. Volunteers needed. Register for shifts before Nov. 24. Call (256) 729-8852.

o Musical. Frazier Christian Methodist Episcopal Church will sponsor a musical to include area choirs, groups and soloists at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28.

o Christmas revival. A musical on Nov. 28 will lead to Frazier Christian Methodist Episcopal Church's Christmas Revival Monday, Nov. 30 through Friday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. each evening. Guest ministers and choirs are: Monday, Pastor John Irving and The Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church Choir; Tuesday, Pastor Henry Brown and The New Jones Chapel C.M.E. Church Choir; Wednesday, Lewis Baker and The Faithful Few; Thursday, Pastor Larry Lockett and The New Hopewell M.B. Church Choir; Friday, Pastor Imogene Jackson-Rose and The Acklin Chapel C.M.E. Church Choir. o Winter revival. New Life Baptist Church will host a two-night winter revival at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6 and at 7 p.m. Monday Dec. 7. Pastor Kenneth B. Lankford will be the guest preacher at both services. Fletcher's Chapel Church will lead Sunday's worship; St. Mark Church Choir will sing Monday.

    Coupon clipping
    Athens High School Future Business Leaders of America will host a coupon-clipping class from 6-8 tonight in the Athens High School cafeteria.  Tickets are $10 each in advance and may be purchased from any AHS FBLA member or by emailing Lori Jones or Brandi Foster at brandi.foster@acs-k12.org or lori.jones@acs-k12.org. Tickets are $15 at the door.
