Trick or treat for food bank
Limestone County Career Technical School student organizations, FBLA, HOSA, and SKILLS USA will be dressed in costumes and trick-or-treating for canned goods and non-perishable items from 6:30-7:30 tonight in various subdivisions. The donated items will benefit our local food bank.
Used book sale
Friends of Athens-Limestone Public Library will hold a used book sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the library.
Toys for Tots signup
Toys for Tots signup will be from 9 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m. today at the United Way office, 419 S. Marion St. Each family must bring birth certificates, Social Security cards and proof of residence for children age birth to 16. An additional sign-up day will be Nov. 10. Relay for Life kickoff

“A Taste of Tradition” fundraiser
Athens Garden Club will host a fundraiser sidewalk sale of their cookbook “A Taste of Tradition,” from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Pablo’s on Market. The book is $15.
