Meningitis walk/run
Moving for Meningitis, a walk/run to raise money to battle meningitis in memory of Jessica Elkins is from 6 p.m. until midnight Saturday in front of Athens Golden Eagles Stadium. Cost is $15 a person or group of four for $50. Registration begins at 5 p.m. The first 200 participants receive a free T-shirt.

Drive-thru flu shots
Limestone County Department of Health is having a drive-thru clinic for regular flu shots, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at the Sportsplex off U.S. 31 North. The cost is $2 per vaccination. Beginning Tuesday, regular flu shots are available at the health department daily from 8-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m.
