4 Paws and a Book

A “pawsitive” reading experience dedicated to improving reading skills of children ages 5 and older, called 4 Paws and a Book will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. today at the Houston Memorial Library in Athens. Children can bring their own book or read a favorite of Miss Sophie Grey, a Yorkshire terrier, who will be present for the program.

The Friends of Athens-Limestone Public Library will hold a used book sale from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesday at the library.

Police memorial

The Ardmore Police Memorial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Col. Tracy Trott from the Tennessee Highway Patrol will be the guest speaker. Lunch will follow at the Tennessee Annex.

Grand Trinity Reunion

The Trinity High School Class of 1966 is planning for its bi-annual Grand Trinity Reunion. • Alzheimer’s support. Athens Alzheimer’s Support group will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, May 21, at the Athens Senior Center. Caregivers or anyone with a family member or a friend that has been diagnosed with any type of dementia is invited to attend.
