Red Cross blood drive
The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Sunday in the gymnasium of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church at the corner of Old Railroad Bed and Capshaw roads.
Emmanuel Church of God in Christ will offer a free meal starting at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at their location on 503 Hine Street. For more information, call Bill Downs at 256-431-1780.
The Limestone County Chapter of the NAACP will host a Jubilee Day celebration at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church at 549 W. Elm St. in Athens. Tickets for ‘Crowns’
The critically acclaimed gospel musical Crowns written by Regina Taylor and directed by Frank Travis will be presented Friday and Saturday, January 4 & 5 at 7 P.M. and Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 3 P.M. at the Council on Aging 912 W.
