The Limestone Republican Women will participate in a flag retirement ceremony and barbecue from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday in conjunction with the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Public invited.

Memorial Day ceremony
American Legion Post 49 will host a Memorial Day ceremony beginning at 10 a.m. Monday at the Alabama Veterans Museum, 100 W. Pryor St. Guest speaker is Lt. Gen. Richard P. Formica from Redstone Arsenal.
Memorial Day help needed
Local help is needed to ensure every deceased veteran in Limestone County has a flag placed on his or her grave this Memorial Day, Monday, May 28.
