Respite night

Troop 221 stew

West Limestone Boy Scout Troop 221 will sell goat stew, chicken stew and chili beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at West Limestone Fire Department. Eat in or carry out.



Buffet fundraiser

The Bethel, Tenn., Masonic Lodge will serve a buffet breakfast from 7-9 a.m. Saturday. Everyone is invited. Proceeds go to charity.



Coffee Call

Friends of Athens-Limestone Public Library will have a used book sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the library.

Fire safety for seniors

Friends of Ardmore Public Library will host the Ardmore Fire Department, which will present a CPR demonstration and fire safety talk for the elderly at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the library on Main Street.

Wonderful Wednesdays

Every Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., through May 19, Lindsay Lane Christian Academy is offering “Wonderful Wednesdays” informative tours. Appointments are not necessary.



Black History items needed

The Alabama Veterans Museum and Archives is asking the public for the donation or loan of black veterans’ military items for display during Black History Month throughout February. Clements High School Alumni Association is hosting its biannual banquet Feb. 20 at Yesterday's Event Center.
