— • Mount Nebo in March. Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church at 27971 Easter Ferry Road in Lester has several March activities scheduled: Youth revival at 7 tonight and Friday, March 21 and 22; youth day at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 24; and Easter sunrise service at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 31. Public invited.

• Breakfast. Truth Baptist Church on Sewell Road in Athens will hold a free men’s breakfast for all men in the community at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 23, with home-cooked food and fellowship. Contact: Dwight Posey at 256-431-7900.

• Anniversary. The Holt Road Baptist Church anniversary service will be at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 24. Jimmy Grisham will speak and the Victory Singers will provide music. Lunch will follow. Public invited. Contact: Pastor James Lemay at 256-232-6160.

• Gospel writers. Peace Missionary Baptist Church at 1214 Plainview Circle in Athens will have its first 4 Gospel Writers presentation at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 24. The gospels of Saints Matthew, Mark, Luke and John will be presented by ministers Jimmy Bailey, Athens; Annie Humphries, Huntsville; Sarah Curry, Mooresville; and elder Luther Earl Madry, Courtland.

• Celebration. Little Elks Missionary Baptist Church at 4692 Snake Road in Athens will hold its annual Seven Last Words Celebration at 7 p.m. Friday, March 29, featuring seven ministers. The church choir will provide a song service.

• Summer program. David’s Temple Missionary Baptist Church at 11273 Stewart Road in Tanner will hold Operation Timothy II Summer Program for children ages 5-13 from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Cost is $200 per child. Contact: Dorothy Shoulders at 256-232-8035.

The Alabama Veterans Museum and Archives will host a Memorial Day ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Limestone County Event Center on Pryor Street across from the Veterans Museum.
