Describe what your business offers: Bonjangles’ is a popular eatery famous for its chicken, biscuits and ice tea as well as the chicken filet biscuit and four-piece supreme dinner. Bonjangles’ offers quality customer service, hot, fresh food and fast, fun and friendly service.

Brief history of business: Bojangles’ was founded in Charlotte, N.C. in 1977 by Jack Fulk and Richard Thomas. Fulk is the grandfather of Athens owner Justin Haddock. They saw an opportunity to develop a quick-service restaurant chain based on three attributes: a distinctive flavor profile; wholesome, high-quality products made from scratch; and a fun, festive restaurant design with fast, friendly service.

Bojangles’ grew rapidly with more than 335 locations by 1985. The company has now grown to more than 500 restaurants and opens a new restaurant on average every 10 days.

Justin and Sally Haddock now have seven locations including the Athens location, three Huntsville locations and one in Florence, Muscle Shoals and Russellville.

Team members: Head coach and general manager of Store No. 2 is Sheneque Phipps. Her team players are Teey Hansen, Ben Moore, Doris Turner and Colby Blankenship.
