County arrests

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Tuesday:

• Justin Wayne Bell, 25, of 1007 W. Washington St., Athens, possession of a controlled substance and third-degree burglary (Limestone County Community Corrections Program)

• Jeffery Darrell Black, 47, of 23769 Norman Lane, Elkmont, failing to pay child support and possession of a controlled substance

• Lisa Marie Drake, 38, of 235 Jackies Terrace, Madison, failing to pay child support

• Agapito Peter Gomez, 37, of 8138 W. Thomas Road, Phoenix, Ariz., trafficking marijuana and false ID to obstruct justice

• Keith Elmo Taylor, 44, of 22369 Smith Road, Athens, hold for court

• Mario Lamar Taylor Jr., 22, of Blackburn Trailer Park, Lot C-4, Athens, hold for court

• Zachary Wayne Weatherford, 21, of 17812 Ellis Drive, Athens, bonds revoked on previous charges of first-degree possession of marijuana and third-degree burglary

County thefts

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following incidents and thefts Tuesday:

• ATHENS — Two metal tree stands, valued at $1,600, stolen between Nov. 22 and Dec. 15 on Thatch Road

• ATHENS – S&W .40-caliber handgun stolen Dec. 17 in 1700 block East Elm Street

City arrests

Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Tuesday:

• Sheldon Jamison Hobbs, 44, of 10870 Griffith Road, Tanner, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence

• Stephen Michael Morrissey, 28, of 418 Everette Drive, Decatur, possession of a controlled substance and first-degree manufacturing of a controlled substance

• Kendrick Neal Vincent, 35, of 8899 Franklin Road, Athens, violated probation on previous conviction for second-degree theft (for Chilton County)

• Ashley Hope White, 26, of 602 Wright St., Athens, first-degree theft, no driver’s license,  and violated probation on previous conviction for second-degree possession of marijuana

City thefts

Athens Police Department reported the following incidents and thefts Tuesday:

• Four iron drain grates, total value $500, stolen Dec. 17 from JMAC Car Wash at 411 South Jefferson Street

• Steel drain cover, valued at $400, stolen between Dec. 15 and 17 in 15000 block Kings Drive
