County arrests

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Monday:

• Rashard Minteria Newby, 31, of 3242 Uralde Lane, Huntsville, attempting to elude, running a stop sign, reckless driving, open container of alcohol and mutilated driver's license

• Gregory Thatch, 42, of 200 Christine, Athens, violated probations on previous convictions for second-degree theft and breaking and entering a vehicle (Limestone County Community Corrections Program)

• Jason William Allen, 35, of 181 Brian Drive, Ardmore, failing to pay child support

County thefts

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following incidents and thefts Monday:

• ATHENS — Plastic 12-gallon gasoline can and gasoline, total value $100, stolen between Dec. 10 and 14 in 10000 block Paradise Shores Drive

• ATHENS — Medication, no value given, burglarized Dec. 14 in 13000 block Stone Bluff Way

• ATHENS — Igloo dog house, valued at $25, stolen Dec. 15 in 15000 block Shaw Road

• ELKMONT — Four Qualcraft safe-tie bucket kits, valued at $600, stolen between Dec. 14 and 15 in 25000 block New Bethel Road

• ATHENS — Four-foot step ladder, 10 paint brushes, portable radio, garbage can, drywall knives and pans, total value $260, burglarized between Dec. 10 and 16 in 22000 block Buttermilk Way

• TANNER — $110 cash stolen between Dec. 15 and 16 in 20000 block Huntsville-Browns Ferry Road

City arrests

Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Monday:

• William Luke Bond, 31, of 13714 Sammy Lane, Elkmont, arrest for Decatur Police Department

• Joseph Colin Christopher, 24, of 617 Box St., Athens, driving under the influence

• Gavin William Dorrough, 25, of 128-A Mason Court, Huntsville, probation revoked on previous conviction for third-degree theft

• Andrea Elizabaeth Flanagan, 28, of 700 Fifth Ave., Apt. 3-13, Athens, theft of property

• Troy Lee Norton, 44, of 20524 Johnson Road, Athens, driving under the influence of drugs

• Brandi Nichole  O'Neill, 35, of 2034 Motorcross Road, Rogersville, DUI

• Christin Leigh Romine,  41, of 401 Camelot Drive, Athens, third-degree criminal mischief

• James Edward Thompson, 37, of 602 Wright St., Athens, third-degree assault

• Deborah McGhee Underwood, 48, of 55 Red Eagle Drive, Apt. 101-A, Atmore, driving under the influence of controlled substances

City thefts

Athens Police Department reported the following incidents and thefts Monday:

• Samsung 32-inch TV, valued at $302, burglarized between Dec. 13 and 14 in 16000 block Greer Street

• Thirty-nine articles of merchandise, total value $262, stolen Dec. 14 at Walmart, 1011 U.S. 72 East

• Wallet, purse and money, total value $130, stolen Dec. 15 at Walmart, 1011 U.S. 72 East

• Medication, total value $15, stolen Dec. 15 in 800 block Swan Drive

• Xbox game controller charger, two Xbox game controllers, 4 gigabyte Xbox gaming system and 2010 NBA Xbox game, total value $310, burglarized Dec. 16 in 19000 block Runway Street

• Unknown brand of .25-caliber pistol, valued at $150, stolen between Nov. 16 and Dec. 16 in 200 block East Sanderfer Road

• Surveillance video and 14 sets of earrings and 10-karat earrings, total value $644, stolen Dec. 16 at Walmart, 1011 U.S. 72 East

• Glass window sustained $50 damage in criminal mischief between Dec. 15 and 17 in 200 block South Marion Street

• Commercial glass window sustained $350 damage in criminal mischief between Dec. 15 and 17 in 600 block South Jefferson Street

Wrecks

• Walter Lee Benford of Athens was injured in an accident at 5:18 p.m. Friday on Jefferson Street at Fifth Avenue — Athens Police

• Edvline Marie Trotman of Athens was injured in an accident at 4:30 p.m. Sunday on Forrest Street at Stewart Drive and Hightower Hill — Athens Police
