ATHENS — County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Wednesday:

• ELKMONT — Four blank checks of unknown value stolen April 26 from 24000 Cotton Belt Road

• ATHENS — 2001 Dodge Caravan valued at $4,000 stolen from 24000 block Ben Stanford Road between April 15 and May 1

• TANNER — E-Z-GO brand golf cart charger valued at $515 stolen from 10000 block U.S. 31 South between April 30 and May 1

• ELKMONT — Carrier brand central air-conditioning unit valued at $3,000 stolen from 28000 block Brock Road between April 29 and May 1

• ELKMONT — Simplicity brand 54-inch riding lawn mower valued at $5,000 stolen May 1 from 22000 block Alabama 127

City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Wednesday:

• James Edward Wilks, 51, of 813 Cedar Lake Road, Athens, driving under the influence (combined)

• Michael Sears Crawford, 32, of 2602 Sparkman Drive N.W., Huntsville, DUI (alcohol)

City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Wednesday:

• Three bags of assorted clothing, Sony brand CD player and car stereo and food scales/tin cups, total $300, stolen during vehicle break-in in 1100 block U.S. 31 South between April 30 and May 1

• Six pills valued at $20 stolen May 1 from 700 block North Jefferson Street

• Assorted candy and snakeskin wallet with contents, total $40, stolen May 1 from 1500 block U.S. 72 East

• Small mini-blinds and large vertical blinds sustained $70 damage due to criminal mischief May 1 in 100 block East Sanderfer Road
