County arrests

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Thursday:

• William Milan Lord, 46, of 22022 Sharp Road, Athens, first-degree manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance

• Allen Dale Branson, 47, of 28736 Jennings Chapel Road, Toney, third degree criminal mischief

• William Allen Branson, 22, of 28736 Jennings Chapel Road, Toney, third-degree criminal trespassing and third-degree criminal mischief

• Kathy Jean Caldwell, 49, of 19795 Alabama 127, Elkmont, bond revoked on an original charge of distributing a controlled substance

• Alvin Vernon Hopkins Jr., 43, of 13127 Oliver Lane, Madison, two counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument

• Christel Marie Jones, 51, of 196 Northwest Jeff Road, Apt. 2505, Huntsville, driving under the influence of a controlled substance

• Lance Chad Pepper, 39, of 22250 Buttermilk Way, Athens, promoting prison contraband

• Wendy Leann Word, 32, of 5129 Seven Pines Circle, Huntsville, probation violation on an original charge of breaking and entering a vehicle

County thefts

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Thursday:

• Debit card stolen during the breaking and entering of a vehicle in the 25000 block of Henry Clay, Madison, Tuesday or Wednesday

• Ruger model Mark III .22-caliber handgun; S&W model M&P 9mm handgun; Para-Ordronce model p 13-45 .45-caliber handgun; Ruger .380-caliber handgun; Taurus model Compact .40-caliber handgun; wooden cigar box with coins; SKS rifle; three wooden jewelry boxes with jewelry; Cannon EOS 60D camera, known total value $2,600, stolen in a third-degree burglary from the 26000 block of Ed Ray Road, Athens, Wednesday 

• Jewelry valued at $1,074 from the 24000 block of Mooresville Road, Athens, reported Wednesday

City arrests

Athens Police Department reported no arrests or thefts for Wednesday and Thursday.

• Melissa Berry Jeffreys, 38, of 25019 Ridge Road, Elkmont, second-degree possession of marijuana

• Kelly Jean Jacobs, 32, of Athens, arrest for Madison Police Department

City thefts

Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Thursday:

• Two street signs, valued at $100, stolen from the 12800 lock of Wittney Lane July 28

• Fraudulent use of a credit card in the 17200 block of Browning Drive on Oct. 26

• Freezer valued at $100 and microwave oven valued at $65 stolen in a burglary Saturday in the 100 block of Hickory Street

• Possible counterfeit bills, valued at $440, passed at 1011 U.S 72 East on Sunday

• Possibly stolen Nissan Altima valued at $500, the 200 block of Chestnut Street, Sunday

• One sink, valued at $200, damaged in an act of criminal mischief, in the 800 block of Fifth Avenue on Monday

• Playstation 3 valued at $200; queen log bed frame valued at $800; 36-inch flat screen TV valued at $300, and a damaged window valued at $50, stolen in a burglary Monday in the 200 block of Swan Drive

• Door glass and window frame with $150 damage in an act of criminal mischief in the 600 block of Second Avenue on Monday
