County arrests

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Friday:

• Gary Neil Coats, 46, of 17500 E. Limestone Road, Athens, probation revoked on previous convictions for first-degree criminal mischief and three counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument

• Patrick Oneal David, 41, of 909 W. Washington St., Athens, larceny (for Escambia County, Fla.)

• Willie Bernard Johnson, 32, of 1490 12th St., Athens, surety rescinds bond of charges of first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary

• Jonathan Gene Malone, 31, of 19908 E. Limestone Road, Toney, giving a false name

• John Thomas Posey, 34, of 606 N. Beaty St., Athens, second-degree receiving  stolen property

• Susan Lynn Royster, 48, of 17606 U.S. 72, Rogersville, driving with a suspended license and contempt of court

County thefts

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Friday:

• MADISON – Four rims and tires, valued at $1,500 taken during breaking and entering of a vehicle between Oct. 17 and 18 from 29000 block U.S. 72

• MADISON -- $107 cash stolen Oct. 18 from 22000 block U.S. 72

• Generator, valued at $650, stolen between Oct. 16 and 18 from 26000 block Salem Minor Hill Road

City arrests

Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Friday:

• Tonya Kelly Brooks, 39, of 15447 E. Limestone Road, Harvest, driving under the influence of a controlled substance

• Kayla Reshea Oliver, 21, of 105 Whitfield St., Athens, theft of property

City thefts 

Athens Police Department reported the following theft Friday:

• Seven string cheese, ice cream, miscellaneous candy bars and a bicycle, total value $10, stolen Oct. 18 at Grace Avenue and Third Street

Wrecks

• Kimberly Sims Esteap of Tanner was injured in a wreck at 10:45 a.m. Thursday on Huntsville-Browns Ferry Road at Lindsay Lane and Dogwood Flats Road – Athens Police

• Shana Renae Smith of Madison was injured in a wreck at 3:40 p.m. Thursday on Hobbs Street – Athens Police
