County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Monday:

• Lance Maurice Harris, 29, of 19541 George Washington St., Tanner, public intoxication and disorderly conduct

• Omar Nicholas Matamoros, 34, of 9162 Segers Road, Lot 47, Madison, third-degree domestic violence (menacing) and possession of a firearm as a felon

• Kaleb Wayne White, 18, of 17155 Dusty Road, Athens, DUI

• Antonio Roosevelt Whitfield, 52, of 212 W. Cemetery, Pulaski, Tenn., probation revoked on conviction for negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument

• Erica Renee Bass, 24, of 13604 Dart Circle, Athens, violating terms of probation on convictions for second-degree promoting prison contraband, first-degree possession of marijuana and DUI

• Sheria Kaye Hughes, 30, of 477 Beaver Dam Road, Toney, attempting to elude, driving while suspended and two counts of failing to stop at a stop sign

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Monday:

• ATHENS — Change stolen during vehicle break-in April 5 in 21000 block Bean Road

• ATHENS — CM brand half-top horse trailer valued at $3,000 stolen from 22000 block Huntsville-Browns Ferry Road between March 29 and April 4 

• ATHENS — Diesel heater and truck bed toolbox, total $400, stolen and $300 damage to rear passenger window of Chevrolet between March 1 and April 1 in 22000 block Yarbrough Road

• ATHENS — Three-eighths-inch copper tube valued at $70 stolen April 4 from 15000 block O’Neal Road

• MADISON — Nintendo brand Wii game console, four games, leather tool belt, miscellaneous tools and dresser drawer containing miscellaneous jewelry, total at least $260, stolen during burglary April 4 or 5 in 28000 block Powell Road

• ATHENS — Walter brand.380-caliber handgun valued at $500 stolen from 20000 block River View Drive between April 1 and 5

• ATHENS — Medications valued at $582 stolen from 13000 block New Cut Road between April 4 and 6

• ATHENS — Dell brand laptop computer, Game Cube game system and pink leopard wallet, total $485, stolen during burglary April 6 in 15000 block Zehner Road

• ATHENS — General Electric microwave oven and Frigidaire brand washing machine, total  $320, stolen April 7 or 8 from 15000 block Dupree Drive

City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Monday:

• Hazel Christina Thomas, 25, of 15828 Dupree Drive, Athens, two counts of distribution of a controlled substance

• Jason Earl Morris, 46, of 15091 Lucas Ferry Road, Athens, harassment

• Adam Chad Craig, 25, of 300 Bullington Road, Athens, DUI (combined substances)

• Joseph Wayne Jackson, 18, of 27633 Saddle Trail, Toney, third-degree theft of property

• Clark David Thompson, 28, of 819 S. Douglas Ave., Nashville, driving under the influence

• Regina Lynn Boylan Clemmons, 48, of 148 Rolling Brook Drive, Rogersville, two counts of negotiating worthless negotiable instrument

• Shaquetta Sauntrae Johnson, 34, of 907 N. Hine St., Athens, DUI

• Corey Leighann Thornton, 22, of 16247 Wright Road, Athens, DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia

City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Monday:

• Home Builder Association items valued at $19 stolen April 6 from 1000 block U.S. 72 East 

• Wallet containing food-stamp card, credit and debit cards, Social Security card and cash, total $48, stolen April 4 from 24000 block Airport Road 

• Assorted gold jewelry including six charms, two mother’s rings, two men’s wedding bands, one women’s wedding band, one women’s ring, two baby rings and $890 in cash, total $2,390, stolen April 6 from 700 block Sanders Street

• LG brand cellphone valued at $600 stolen April 6 from 17000 block U.S. 72

• Cub cadet brand riding lawnmower, Jonsered brand string trimmer, 5-gallon gasoline can and lock, total $2,300, stolen April 6 or 7 from 18000 block Lucas Ferry Road

• Four imitation hair pieces and one pair of shoes, total $68, stolen April 7 600 block U.S, 72 West

• Apple brand iPhone and iPad, Samsung brand communication device and Sony, Panasonic and Fuji cameras, total $1,125, stolen April 7 from 1400 West Market Street

• Diamond wedding ring, two T-shirts and two pairs of shoes, total $1,117, stolen during burglary April 7 or 8 in 300 block Henry Drive  

Wrecks

• Cody Scott, 21, of Elkmont, and Emily Olson, 52, of Flintville, Tenn., were injured at 5:05 p.m. Sunday on Upper Elkton Road, five miles west of Ardmore, when their motorcycle and car collided, according to state troopers. Scott was wearing a helmet and Olson was wearing a seat belt, a trooper said.
