Colts shut out in lopsided Region 8 loss

— -From staff reports

Just as everything came together during the fourth quarter of last week’s four overtime game against West Limestone, it all seemed to go wrong for Clements Friday in a 54-0 loss to West Morgan.

A 7-0 first quarter lead soon ballooned to 35-0 by halftime as West Morgan cruised on Clements’ home field. The Colts had several key players go down with injuries in the first half including Demarcus Johnson, Jimmy Marsh and Christian Wilson.

The road doesn’t get any easier for Clements (2-0), who will travel Madison Academy (1-1) next Friday.
