WEST LIMESTONE —
ARDMORE — Ardmore continued its dominance at home with a 33-7 victory over Randolph School in Class 4A, Region 7 action at Cooper Field Friday night.
Ardmore (3-1, 2-1) rebounded from a 42-14 loss at North Jackson last week with a key region victory as the Tigers rolled up 362 yards of offense, while holding Randolph (1-3, 1-2) to only 94 yards, including just 75 yards on 37 carries.
Tyler McCarley scored on a 3-yard run in the first quarter and a 5-yarder in the second, while Ricky Lowery ran for a 14-yard touchdown in the second and a 5-yard score in the fourth and Dominic Clemons added a 3-yatd TD in the final period.
Ardmore continued to rely heavily on its rushing attack with 52 carries for 341 yards, but fumbled six times and lost three to disrupt several scoring drives. Garett Miller finished 2 of 6 passing for 21 yards with no interceptions.
McCarley led the Tigers with 109 yards on 15 carries and two TDs, while Lowery had 77 yards on only seven carries and two scores and Zach Ellis added 83 yards on 12 carries.
This Friday Ardmore travels to 3A Clements for a cross-county matchup, while Randolph plays at Westminster Christian.

Mary Jane Hobbs played softball at a pivotal time in the sport’s transition from slow-pitch to fast-pitch. Hobbs grew up playing slow-pitch fastball at Elkmont, and was offered a scholarship to play on one of Calhoun’s first softball teams under coach Myra King.
