ATHENS —
WILSON — In a Class 4A, Region 8 matchup, Wilson avenged last season’s 44-20 loss to West Limestone with a 41-7 victory Friday night at Warrior Stadium.

West Limestone (3-3, 1-3) scored in the first quarter when Caleb McConnell tossed an 8-yard touchdown pass to Dillon Miller. West had an opportunity to tie the game at 14-14 in the second, but the Wildcats fumbled the ball at the Wilson’s 3-yard line.
West finished with 189 yards of total offense, including 136 on the ground. McConnell finished 5 of 16 passing for 53 yards and a touchdown. Aaron McWilliams had two receptions for 20 yards, while Tucker McCormick and Miller each had 13 tackles for the Wildcats.
