WEST LIMESTONE —
In front of friends and family, West Limestone senior Paige Browning signed a letter of intent to play softball at Wallace State community college Friday afternoon. Browning has thrown for more than 300 innings the past two seasons for the Lady Wildcats.
The senior has amassed 342 strikeouts, two no-hitters and contributed to another no-hitter during that time. During her career on the mound, Browning held her opponents to a .151 batting average.
“Paige is a very determined pitcher that has overcome obstacles during her time at West Limestone,” said head coach Mike Pressnell. “She has beaten a knee injury that set her back for a little while, but with hard work and determination, she has come back strong and will be even better this season.”
Browning will begin her senior season with West later this month.
