Two Toney residents were killed and four others injured Saturday night in a five-car pileup in Limestone County, a state trooper said.
The accident occurred at about 6:50 p.m. on Old Railroad Bed Road, 10 feet west of Huntsville city limits.
Names of the victims were released Sunday.
Richard Doty, 66, who was driving a 1999 Oldsmobile, was killed in the wreck, as was his passenger, Doris Cory, 62. Both were wearing seatbelts. Another passenger in the car, Christine Doty, 14, of Toney, was injured. She also was wearing a seatbelt, the trooper said.
Also involved in the wreck, according to the trooper, were:
• José Ibarra, 44, of Huntsville, driver of a 2003 Cadillac, was injured. He was wearing a seatbelt.
• Eric Hicks, 45, of Harvest, driver of a 2007 BMW, was not injured.
• Kenneth Mangrum, 47, driver of a 2005 Toyota, and his passenger Pamela Mangrum, 42, both of Harvest, were injured. Both were wearing seatbelts.
• Holt Jones, 33, of Athens, driver of a 1998 Mitsubishi, was not injured.
