Ben and Wilma Curtis of Athens will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary today at ASU Founders Hall in Athens. The celebration is hosted by their children and grandchildren. Mrs. And Mrs. Curtis were united in marriage Jan. 8, 1941, in Hohenwald, Tenn. They have three children, Ron Curtis and wife Pam of Fayetteville, Tenn., Joe Curtis and wife Vicki of Athens and Diane Wildenstein and husband Hank of Elkmont. Their seven grandchildren are Phillip Curtis and wife Janna of Elba, Laura Curtis of Nashville, Tenn., Leah Pierce and husband Kirk of Athens, Maria Fronchowiak and husband Jamie of Madison, Dr. Jonathan Curtis and wife Debbie of Birmingham, Amanda Hobbs and husband Jessie of Elkmont and Johanna Curtis of Arlington, Va. The Curtises have 13 great-grandchildren.
