Gleen and Ozell Lowery of Athens celebrated their 61st anniversary Oct. 1. Mr. and Mrs. Lowery were married Oct. 1, 1950, in Iuka, Miss. They have two children, Tracy Lowery and wife April of Huntsville, and Pamela Edney of Decatur; and seven grandchildren Shellee Blaxton and husband Mark, Clint Barley and wife Diane, all of Decatur, Adam Lowery and Sara Lowery of Atlanta, Katie Lowery of Tuscaloosa, Brady Lowery and Bailey Lowery, both of Huntsville. The Lowerys have six great-grandchildren, Braxton, Davis and Brooklyn Barley and Brooks and John Allen Blaxton, all of Decatur, and Emmy Grace Lowery of Atlanta.
